Sometimes, you need to add additional delivery instructions to ensure your shipment is delivered smoothly. This article describes all of your options to add additional delivery instructions to your order.
Reaching out to the courier
The best way to specify additional delivery instructions for your order is to wait until you've received a shipment confirmation email from EK that includes your shipment tracking number. Once you have the tracking number, reach out to your local courier office (depending on the courier you chose for your order), and ask them to add the instructions for your shipment in their system. The courier's customer service representative will ask about the tracking number to identify the shipment, so make sure you have it on hand.
Add instructions in the courier software/apps
Some couriers also offer to change your delivery details via their apps or online, and there is no need to contact them directly over the phone or by email. Unfortunately, the International Post does not offer this service.
Add instructions in the second line of the address on the EK webshop
The simplest option for adding short instructions is to add them in the address field "Street Address 2" in our webshop's final phase of the checkout before you finalize the order. With that, the text will be shown on the shipping label. Keep in mind this option is only suitable for short instructions as if the text is too long, it will not fit on the courier shipment label.
