EK-Loop Connect - Communication error detected

My EK-Loop Connect is returning the message, "A controller communication error was detected, please restart the application." What should I do?

If the app doesn't restart when you click the Restart button, you should start it manually and check if the communication with the controller is reestablished. If you still get a communication error popup or the controller doesn't work, try restarting your computer or power cycling the controller.
