If you have some air bubbles stuck in your system and would like to get them out or if you are filling your loop for the first time and need to get most of the air out of it, please check the following steps:
- Power Off: Ensure your PC is powered off and disconnected from the power source.
- Position Your PC: Place your PC in a way that allows air to naturally rise to the highest point in the loop, usually the reservoir or highest radiator.
- Identify Air Bleed Points: Determine where air might be trapped in your loop. Common locations include the reservoir, radiator inlets/outlets, and water blocks.
- Open the Filling Port: If your reservoir has a filling port, open it. If not, you may need to temporarily remove a component, like the top radiator cap, to access the highest point.
- Fill the Loop: Slowly add coolant to the loop until it's full. It's crucial to pour gently to prevent excessive turbulence that can introduce more air.
- Tilt and Tap: Gently tilt and tap your PC case to encourage air bubbles to move toward the bleed points.
- Run the Pump: Power on and run the PC for a short period to help circulate the coolant and release trapped air.
- Check for Air Bubbles: Look for air bubbles escaping from the bleed points. Continue tapping and tilting to help them escape.
- Top Off Coolant: Add more coolant if needed to keep the loop full, especially if air pockets are still escaping.
- Close and Seal: Once you're satisfied with the bleeding process, close the filling port or reassemble any components you removed.
- Power Up: Reconnect your PC to power and turn it on. Check for any leaks or unusual noises.
- Monitor: Keep an eye on your temperatures and cooling performance to ensure everything is running optimally.
