The pump can be cleaned by initially detaching it from the unit.
- D5 TBE - To remove a D5 pump from a TBE unscrew the Locking ring from the unit.
- DDC TBE - To remove a DDC pump from a TBE remove 4x M4 screws from the unit.
- DDC/D5 on FLT/Distro Plate - To remove a DDC or D5 pump from an FLT or Distribution Plate remove the 4x screws that hold the pump to the FLT/Distribution Plate.
After the pump is removed from the unit it can be fully disassembled by removing the hemispherical impeller from the motor/pump.
The parts of the pump include a motor, a hemispherical impeller, and a ceramic bearing. The motor, impeller, and ceramic bearing can be cleaned with distilled water and a microfiber cloth or toothbrush.
Before reassembling the pump make sure that the motor impeller and the ceramic bearing are clean and that there are not defects present in the impeller.
