How to change a LED Strip?

You can follow the steps below to remove/replace the LED strip on our products (water block, distro plate).

EK-Quantum Vector blocks:

• EK-Quantum Vector² Nickel + Plexi water blocks:
  • Replacing/removing the LED strip on the Vector² Nickel + Plexi can be done by first removing the standout and the two screws that hold it in place.

• • After the standout is removed the LED strip can be pulled out from the water block/LED cover.
  • Replacing/removing the LED strip on a Nickel + Acetal version is done in the same way but instead of having to pull the LED strip out of the water block, the LED strip and the Light guide come off after the standout is removed.

EK-Quantum Velocity² water block and Momentum² monoblocks:

• Replacing/removing the LED strip on the EK-Quantum Velocity² water blocks and Momentum² monoblocks is very similar, both usually only use two screws that hold the Standout in place under which there is a LED strip.

• Replacing/removing the LED strip on the Velocity² Acetal water block is similar, first, remove the two screws that hold the Standout, then the Standout, LED strip, and Light Guide will come off the block.

EK-Quantum FLTs and Distro Plates:

• Replacing/removing LED strips on FLT and Distribution Plates is very similar both use an LED cover which has to be removed to get to the LED strip.
