It can happen that the radiator starts to leak during the first loop test or during longer usage as well (highly unlikely). This article will let you know what is causing the problem, how to check for the leak, and what is your solution to the problem.
Problem with a leaking radiator can be a result of:
- Assembly flaws
- Loose extenders or any fittings
- Pierced or damaged fins
To help identify/resolve radiator leaks, follow these steps:
- Check for visible damage on the radiator
- Inspect extenders/o-rings and fittings for looseness/damages
- Look for pierced or damaged fins, including under-fan screw holes
- Determine the location of the leak visually or by listening for sounds
- Perform a leak test by submerging the radiator in water with air pressure and look for air bubbles
Solution:
- If the radiator is damaged and can't be repaired, you will need to open an RMA ticket. (Provide us evidence such as videos of air bubbles, audible leaks, or pictures of damaged fins)
