Problems with loud or rattling fans can be a result of:
- loose cables or cable ties hitting the fan
- too dusty fans
- faults on the fan (motor, bearing, blades...)
Troubleshooting steps
Check carefully whether any cable is in the way and the fan blades are hitting it. If the fan is dusty, clean it well. You can use a vacuum cleaner, a brush or an air can.
If you are going to use a vacuum cleaner or an air can, please hold the FAN blades. If the FAN blades rotate at too high RPM, you can damage the FAN.
