How do I claim a refund from Bitpay?
If you've used BitPay as a payment method and requested order cancelation or amendment resulting in a refund, you will have to claim the refund in order for your funds to be sent back to your account.
Once we issue a full/partial refund for your order, you will receive an email from BitPay to the email address you’ve submitted while placing your order, notifying you that a refund has been authorized. To claim your refund, you must use the same shopper ID you used while making the payment.
Important note: Refund email links expire within 3 days, so please claim your refund within 3 days of receiving your email.
Follow these steps to submit your refund information and submit the refund for processing by BitPay:
1. Open the email and click Collect Refund.
2. Enter your wallet address for your refund.
3. Wait for the refund to be sent to your refund address. This should take 1-2 business days, and you will receive the refund amount shown under AMOUNT TO BE REFUNDED
If you don't receive a refund within 10 business days of claiming it, please contact our support team.
